  It's nice to know something about your lawyer, or to put a face to a name.  Here's a little bio for each of us.          MARY GURGANUS Professional credentials Mary Gurganus focuses her practice on all matters family. Mary graduated with honors from North Carolina Central School of Law.  During law school, she was the president of the law school’s Innocence Project, which investigates claims of innocence by inmates  whose innocence may be proven using new technologies, such as DNA.  Mary was also a member of the North Carolina Central Law Journal and Parliamentarian and National Delegate for the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Mary completed her undergraduate degree at Loyola College in Baltimore, MD (go, greyhounds!), where she majored in Business Management and Law. Personal data Mary Gurganus lives in Cary , NC with her husband of 19 years, Brian. They have three children, ages 17, 12 and 9. Mary attends St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Apex and stays busy with work, family, and her volunteer efforts. We strive to maintain a professional environment that offers great legal services.  Our firm is boutique without the big price tag.  What makes us special is that we understand how you want to be treated-whether at the doctor's office,  country club, or here by us.  Yet, we maintain our aggressiveness in court to get you through the process and on with your life.  Contact me at    mary@gurganuslaw.com   OUR PROFESSIONAL STAFF Brooke Smith Brooke is wife to Richard and step-mother of one son, aged 9.  Brooke hails from Brooklyn, New York and has resided in North Carolina for five years.  She joined our firm in 2008 as a Paralegal for family law, personal injury, and other areas of the law. Brooke and her family are active with Knightdale Parks and Recreation's Baseball league, and she is the team mom for the 9-10 Knightdale Knights.  April Anderson April is married to Michael Anderson and mother to two boys, age 18 and 16.  She graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in accounting.  April has worked as an accounting professional as well as a realtor's assistant and, until a few years ago, was a stay-at-home mother to her boys.    April is our Office Manager and a Paralegal who works with real estate closings and civil matters.  To email staff, please direct the email to our company main address and put    info@gurganuslaw.com Our office hours are from 9am to 4pm.
